Cloud Atlas

Have you seen the trailer for the upcoming film adaptation? It looks quite incredible, and appears as though the producers are actually making a proper attempt at translating some of the depth within the novel. Visually it looks beautiful too. Am I excited? I never wanted this book to be adapted as I didn’t think it could be done well, but it looks like there is potential here; okay, I suppose I might be a tiny bit tickled. If you’ve read the book, head over to the search engine of your choice and do one of those fancy web searches (or, here’s a link.) You’ll find a mammoth sized trailer that pays attention to every segment of the book, it’s shiny and everything!

On the other hand, if you haven’t read Cloud Atlas, and have the patience for one of the most original and brilliant books that has been released thus far in human existence, then I advise you to READ IT NOW.

Wow, the film looks quite good - which is so surprising because it has Tom Hanks in it so I expected it to be horrible....
